Local dining

There are five tavernas in the village, all owned by local families. Often appearing in the ‘Best Places to Eat’ on Corfu they offer authentic Corfiot mountain dishes and are very good value for money. Popular with both visitors and locals alike, the village tavernas are open throughout the summer and on winter weekends.

Hiking Trails

Old Perithia is a perfect base to hike up Mount Pantokrator, many day trippers choose the village as a base to do this. It takes around 1.45 hour each way and on top of the mountain you will find the old Monastery and even a small cafe to quench your thirst.

Beaches

When in Corfu, you have to try the beaches. We can suggest many that are within easy reach and others, that are a bit of a day trip experience. All beaches in Corfu are beautiful - some are sandy, some are pebbly, in some you will jump off the rocks into the sea. We can also help with a boat rental - highly recommended for another perspective on the island’s coast.
